Psychology
Dr Mark Scholes
Clinical Psychologist & Clinical Family Therapist
B.Psych (Hons), DPsych (Clinical)

I see people of all ages. In my 22+ years with clients I have learnt many different evidence-based therapies, I have been trained in Cognitive Behavioural approaches, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Solution focused and Narrative approaches, Trauma and Attachment-based approaches, and Family Therapy, just to name a few.
I have learnt that the alliance between us is critical for any change to occur and I work hard to make therapy fit your needs and preferences. I am able to work in a variety of ways, from seeing clients' individually to seeing whole families together in order to work on resolving issues.
I appreciate the lessons of life that come from young children through to the elderly. We all have in us a wise elder who knows the truth when given the time and attention.

I am a Clinical Psychologist and Clinical Family Therapist working in the mental health field since 2002. I first started working in Child and Youth Mental Health which led to my interest in working with families. This interest has since turned into my passion, and I love having the opportunity to work with anyone who values "relationships". Whether it's individuals, couples, or families, my therapy approach focuses on reducing stress and amplifying strengths in relationships. I'm often helping people work through past relationship issues that continue to affect them in the present.
My other area of passion is supporting professionals to deliver high-quality and evidence-based practice. This is often through supervision and mentoring, with individuals and mental health teams, and through delivering professional development workshops around Australia. Just as clients need support, so do the professionals that are dedicating their careers to helping others.

I’m a Clinical Psychologist passionate about supporting adults and youth athletes through life’s challenges with compassion and evidence-based care. My approach is grounded in EMDR, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness, with a strong focus on trauma recovery, emotional wellbeing, and performance enhancement. Whether you're navigating anxiety, trauma, chronic pain, or striving to perform at your best, I offer a space that is non-judgmental, collaborative, and tailored to your unique needs.
I work with adults and youth athletes, and have a particular interest in helping individuals move from merely coping to truly thriving. My style is warm yet focused, blending practical strategies with deeper therapeutic work to help you reconnect with what matters most.
